Jennis Bay Extreme Expeditions, Ltd., The Broughtons

We arrived yesterday in Jennis Bay. It is one of the smaller resorts. The property was purchased in 2001 by a Tom and Allyson Allo, and has now been turned into a very nice destination resort for boaters (and I'd recommend kayakers too). It is set on a beautiful bay inside of Drury Inlet, all offering great areas to explore by dinghy or kayak. There are also nice logging trails nearby that make for great walks thru thick forests.

Later this morning we'll cruise to Sullivan Bay and check out a few anchorages in the area. Not sure where we'll end up, but it is certainly fun to explore. And it isn't raining this morning! But before we depart, I wanted to take advantage of the WIFI here. And as it appears to be too early for the other boaters to be using it, I'm able to get a strong enough signal to upload some photos.

Here is a photo of Brad in front of the Jennis Bay Cook House, which is where they held a wonderful potluck last night. Great way to get to know other boaters, as well as the owners of this delightful resort. This "house" is almost 100 years old and is an old loggers floathouse.

Another float house that has been turned into a cute little gift shop.

The resident cat, a very friendly and confident cat.

The resident dog, who recently had a bad run in with a wolf. This lucky dog has lived to tell the tale, about loosing his eye and getting stitches on several places of his neck and legs.

The old logging road makes for a perfect walking path thru the forest.
