From Jennis Bay we cruised east 8 nautical miles to nearby Sullivan Bay. There wasn't any rain and we had some light reflecting thru the clouds, creating spectacular reflections of mountains, trees and clouds on the water.
We didn't find any hiking trails in Sullivan Bay, but we enjoyed exploring the docks and meeting other boaters. And we ended up having a very tasty dinner at the restaurant in Sullivan Bay, also enjoying the company of Craig and Barbara from s/v Sequoia (the boat that hit the whale). It was Barbara's birthday (29th???) and it made for a fun evening out. But somewhere after dinner I lost Brad who found out that the boat Imagine has a satelite tv, and I think he is now watching tv for the first time this summer. So here I sit playing taking advantage of WIFI access and playing on the internet, thus being able to upload some photos and tell you about Sullivan Bay.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the sun came out ~5pm and it remained sunny the rest of the day. Delightful!
All the docks in Sullivan Bay have street names and there are subdivision names for the groupings of floating homes. Brad really liked the homes in Halibut Heights.
Photos of Sullivan Bay. Don't you just love these boat houses with dock space for them to tie their yachts in front of their homes?
